Questions owners ask first

What does Vertex Ordering include?

A branded website and storefront builder, online ordering and checkout, point of sale, a kitchen display, Dine In floor plans and delivery with your own drivers for restaurants, bookings for service businesses, loyalty, promotions, customer accounts and no-code automations. Everything shares one customer and order database, so nothing needs syncing.

How much does Vertex Ordering cost?

Free has no monthly fee and charges 10¢ per paid transaction: online orders, bookings and POS sales. Starter is $29/mo, Growth $49/mo, and Scale $99/mo plus $29/mo for each additional location. Paid plans carry no platform fees on transactions. Standard Stripe card processing applies on every plan.

Is there a free trial?

Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial, then your first month is 50% off. The Free plan is available for restaurants, retail and service businesses and needs no card.

Can I run delivery with my own drivers?

Yes, on Growth and Scale for restaurants. Set delivery zones with their own fees and minimums, assign orders by hand or automatically (several nearby orders per trip), and see every driver on a live map. Drivers use a private link on their phone, customers track their order on your branded page, and you can accept cash or card at the door. There's no per-delivery fee from Vertex.

Can I bring my existing menu?

Yes. Import from Square, Toast, Clover or Shopify, from a CSV or Excel file, from pasted text, or from the address of your current menu page. You review every item before it goes live.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, from Starter up: one domain on Starter, five on Growth and ten on Scale. Point a CNAME at us and we provision the TLS certificate and route traffic through Cloudflare's edge automatically.

What kinds of businesses use Vertex Ordering?

Restaurants and cafes, retail stores, ecommerce brands, service businesses such as salons, studios and mobile services, and dispensaries. Each gets industry defaults: restaurants get the kitchen display and Dine In, service businesses get booking and reminders, retailers get inventory and SKUs.

Is multi-store available?

Yes, on Scale. Run every location from one account with central roles and permissions, cross-store menu and catalog copying, and store-by-store reports. Each location after the first is $29/mo.

How do automations work?

On paid plans, events like a new order, a booking, a review or low stock can start workflows in the built-in Activepieces editor, which connects to hundreds of apps including Slack, Twilio, Gmail, Google Sheets, QuickBooks and Mailchimp. Workflows can also act back on Vertex, for example marking an order ready or awarding loyalty points. There are no per-task fees.

What payment processor does Vertex Ordering use?

Stripe. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect, and Vertex never holds your customers' money. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay work out of the box.
