What do I do with my Clover terminals if I switch?
Clover hardware is locked to Clover's software, so terminals won't carry over. Most businesses sell them on eBay or Facebook Marketplace ($200-600 each used), then switch to Stripe Terminal hardware or use any iPad with Tap-to-Pay for iPhone.
Can I migrate my catalog and customers?
Yes. Clover allows CSV export of products, customers, and order history from the merchant dashboard. Vertex's import endpoint accepts these CSVs directly. Migration takes 1-2 hours for a single-location restaurant.
What about the Clover App Market?
Most Clover apps are commodity features (subscription billing, gift cards, loyalty, online ordering) that Vertex includes natively. The few specialized vertical apps (e.g., dry cleaning, salon-specific) may require an automation-canvas workaround on Vertex.
Will my payment processing rates change?
